Tech platform case study
Helping a tech platform create a visual identity to convey their passion for sports and the betting data that they provide their customers…
What they said about us
“Robin is genuinely enjoyable to work with. He combines real expertise in his own craft with a broader curiosity that means he contributes well beyond his initial brief. He brings creative and innovative thinking, but what sets him apart is how collaborative he is in practice. Rather than arriving with a fixed idea of how things should look, he makes it easy to develop a shared vision, which tends to save time and produce better results.
I’d have no hesitation recommending him to anyone looking for that combination of skill and good working instincts. “

TX Brand Ident
Edited and graded on Davinci Resolve
Art direction from Pixelbasher
——
This 30 second spot was made for use across socials, the TX website and on screens at the SBC Lisbon conference.
Pixelbasher deferred to the animation genius that is Lewis Young – who took the style of data/sports that we’d developed – and ran with it to create an extraordinary action morphing sequence. From there we collaborated to fine-tune the look and feel and get it ready for final delivery across socials and for exhibition screens.
This fitted the company perfectly as it covers a lot of sports – but the focus was on US-centric sports in recognition of the key markets to play for.
Faster Odds Data
3D – Cinema 4D and Blender
Renderer – Redshift
——
This spot was commissioned to play out at a Gaming conference on screens both outside and inside the venue.
The theme was around the speed and variety of data, so a fly-through approach was taken to create a visually-arresting spot that would hopefully stop people in their tracks and ask – “Who are TXODDS?”
The outro copy animation was created by the most excellent Mat Detail – you can find his portfolio website here and his Linkedin profile here.
Trev's Bar - Florida
Filmed on Panasonic Lumix S5ii
Edited and graded on Davinci Resolve
——
We filmed and edited this short promo that went out on socials to promote TXODDS attending SBC Florida – one of the largest sports gaming industry events.
The approach for the event was to make a relaxed, welcoming environment for potential clients, with the bar being named after Trevor Dunne, who appears in this video.
Trevor would be at the event, and this video linked together the theme, his appearance, with a slightly lighter touch than others in the market were using.
Trev's Bar - Lisbon
Filmed on Panasonic Lumix S5ii
VFX – Cinema 4D/After Effects/Davinci
Edited and graded on Davinci Resolve
Soundtrack – Cubase
——
TX were due to run the same exhibition theme in Lisbon as they had in Florida earlier in the year – so we helped them put the flesh on the bones of an idea and get this out in time to promote the event.
We ended up building a 3D set-up to show Trev rolling out on a broken-down Vespa, and intentionally kept the finish a little off from perfect to go with the tongue-in-cheek theme.
Easy Rider was one of the references, so we even cracked open the guitar case and wrote a little burst of guitar music to match the mood…
TXODDS sports data renders
——–
Rendered in Cinema 4D and Redshift
——–
The development of this visual identity aims to articulate the relationship between the hard tech that powers the TX platform, and the emotional connection that people naturally make with sport. On a practical level, using licensed images of sports stars is an incredibly expensive endeavour, so we were tasked with building a world in which we could show off sports action, and make a clear link to the data underpinning it in this context.
TXODDS Website
It was a great opportunity to establish a visual identity that matched the company – a deep understanding of data, and a genuine love of sport underpinning that. With the company being in such a niche, SEO opportunities were relatively limited, so pushing to establish B2B credentials through the marketing output made a lot of sense.
The site has since been redeveloped but the site is still underpinned by the graphic work that we did – these sports data images feature heavily on the site as it now stands.
